I believe you must get all out including it's 'orrible jaws! A cigarette is perfect but if you don't smoke or carry matches...... is there a liquid, like meths or scotch that would do? you must be joking Merlin......wasting good scotch ....shame on you ;D ;D

Henry has picked up ticks several times from walks - possibly sheep or deer. We have a pair of those tweezers and OH is very good at twiddling the horrible critters out.

On our first holiday together Graham decided to paddle in the water that had collected at the slate mine/thing at Ballachulish and ended up with a tick in his leg. We went to a chemist at the Kyle of Lochalsh and the pharmacist said to dab the beastie with TCP and it goes 'EEK' and falls off ;D ;D
