Good morning everyone. I know what you mean lesley ...if you don't keep up on the walking ,at this time of year in particular , you certainly start to feel it. It's 5 weeks until my knee replacement and I'm still ( painfully at times) walking most days in the aim to keep the ligaments well stretched and on the days I haven't been able to recently due to the storm I could definitely notice it. I only manage between 3- 4 miles at the moment but hopefully every mile will help make for a successful full recovery. Have a really good day .

Good morning everyone. Thanks lesley , yes I'm in no doubt all will be fine. I come from a family with extensive joint replacement history so hopefully I know what's in store .It's more a case of making sure the rest of my body can support the poorly side Ok for the initial first few weeks post surgery. I have Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis plus Bursitis in one hip (at moment but will have another injection into it before the surgery) I also have bones in both feet fused with screws too. So my current aim is to prepare the rest of my body to be as supportive as possible to the weaken side as best as is possible. Surgery is booked for the beginning of January.
