Rosie, Cherry and members, do you think we still need to do this? it was originally on the GN forums when we were told it might speed the forum up when we kept complaining how slow it was, eg: start a new thread when we reach 1000 posts in it, only asking because just noticed moonlights blog thread is getting close, we kept the idea running on proboards forum but with this super duper version should it still be necessary?

Other pro-board forums do not seem to limit posts to a 1000, I think we should let them run now.

I suspect it will be ok and have my doubts if it ever really helped, the old GN forums was run by a lady whom if she was a computer could have been called not very user friendly the forums grew to be very popular and they paid for bandwidth which they probably tried to keep to a minimum to save costs, eventually they had the brainwave to delete the forum altogether and save more costs which led to a scramble to save posts and photo's as much as poss for a new forum.....we just carried the 1000 post thing on just in case really ....so....keep on gabbing
