While clearing away the geranium bed yesterday I came across a hairy caterpillar a distinct ginger colour the like of which I have never seen before. Unfortunately I didn't have camera with me. I relocated it in some more geraniums where it can munch away undisturbed and hopefully turn into something beautiful if its colour is anything to go by.

Well I'm not going to try and say that without my teeth in I must look that one up daitheplant as I can't say I'm familiar with it. ps. Just looked it up and the pics look just like the one I saw. You know Dai, I have Had an excellent book with details of every insect, plant, fish, bird etc. etc. to be found in or around the UK. I couldn't find it and then realised my daughter had half inched it and has conveniently forgotten about it. Wait 'til I see her tomorrow Just hope she still has it.

I used to have a book of recipes for home made wines, beers and ciders which was given me by my mother in law. I loaned it to number one stepson about 20 years ago and haven`t seen it since.

Happens to me a lot usually books but often record albums or DVDs. You would think i would have learned over the years.
