Cowboy buiders and the trouble is, she is always right even when she is wrong

here is the pic of that carnation I took as a cutting. A wee bit out of focus methinks. Hopefully I can overwinter and grow properly next year.

The leaves are falling big time now so got the grass rake out and raked them up into a nice straight line for the lawnmower to hoover up. Well that was the top lawn but i found the raking up tiring Not as fit as I once was so as I had the lawnmower out I decided to give the whole lot the once over. thakes about 2 hours and I managed to work up a sweat. Our neighbour came round with the chocolate doughnuts so managed to collapse in comfort. Took a trailer load up to the tip this morning as it stayed dry for once. Ground still a tad wet for working though. had a couple of bags of stable manure brought for me by son's workmate so that will go in the runner bean area or the sweetpea area.

Don't you be over doing it Jim, there is always another day. I know when to stop Tel and chocolate doughnuts are muscle building daitheplant you should try some. Our neighbour never comes round empty handed always with cakes or something. mind you I take her rubbish to the tip as well and she has tomatoes from the g'house. Got a day of it tomorrow weather permitting. washing pots for the sweetpeas, possibly transplanting a mature cordyline a foot or two to one side as the retaining wall beside it is being rebuilt cos it was being pushed out of position. Such fun......not.

Got away with not having to transplant the cordyline and will post a pic or two when I get round to it. managed to sow all my sweetpea seeds or so I thought until I found some more tucked away. they will have to wait until I get some more 5" pots though. Only just managed it as the rain finally eased up enough.
