A sort of an update...
A couple of Owls got excited a couple of posts ago in Roofy's Poly Tunnel
But he wasn't the only one to receive a parcel this week.
Our Neighbour received a Surprise Parcel. Unfortunately he sent it back because he didn't know anything about 'Moonlight Dahlia Nurseries' But luckily The Fairy God Mother of the postal system Coriar Service, waved his magic wand and a parcel appeared on my Doorstep Accessorised with a rather fetching return label:
Now admittedly I am now talking (a parcel full of) crackers but I am able to let you know a little secret. I shared a Mince Pie with a Person in a Very Special High Place...
Who I have heard on very good authority - is very experienced in parking on Roof tops and knows a thing or to about Chimneys himself.
Thank You Roofy!

Ok,so what did all the boys and girls on Father Christmas' good boy and girl list get?
I've been extra good (either that or he felt sorry for my tubers and thought that they needed a trim)
Maybe it was the dahlias that were on Father Christmas' Good List...?

Well, I got a whole bunch of gardening-related stuff... but I'll post that in my Blog ... umm... once I've fixed my camera. But... in regards your rather tasty presents Moonlight... a though springs to mind. Apparantly, during the reign of terror of the Spanish Inquisition, many people where tortured. However, part of the "torture" proceedure was to show them the torture implements. This frightened the poor victims so much that many of them confessed without the actual torture being necessary. do the long-handled loppers come into this catagory ? You wave them at recalcitrant Dahlias, and they immediately behave ?

Got the girls up before Daddy woke up. Now everyone is up. My work is done. I can go back to bed now... Cue evil laugh Mwahahahaha!

Update: It was a good idea in theory but it didn't work out that way. I did nod off but was woken up suddenly with a jolt and ended up being the Grumpiest Mummy in the Universe. Not a fab morning.
Moving on...
There is good logic behind the maddness of getting the girlies up earlier each day - we are taking the girls to the 'pictures'

When I first joined Garden Friends people were very friendly and encouraging but Tel was one of the people who actually helped me feel part of the family. I loved his banter and was so generous. I've been asked a couple of times had I ever actually spoken to him but the thing is - never needed to. A relaxed open hand of friendship offered and so generous. Tel I've missed you for ages but the thing is because of the way he is - we all feel like this.
Lost a True Friend today like so many of us.
To Tel miss you but at least we still have Birkenshaw Garden Friends and Birkenshaw Wyn's Favourite - you won't get forgotten.
Just had a thought we won't be able to talk about our seedlings anymore.
