Our visitor comes at night when the dogs are tucked up at night damn thing, i wish i knew who it belongs to (IMO cats shouldn't be left to roam at night). Ive tried crystals (keep off) hoping that would keep it away but no . (An all nighter in the garden with a rat gun comes to mind ).

A water soaker works too. I am a total cat-loving nutter who is also a gardener and so I go out each morning armed with my supermarket carriers and poop picker and scoop up the offending items, hoping that they have only used the 'designated area'. I cover areas I don't want them to dig up with black plastic and plant through it - covering it with bark. I have two darling moggs who I'd like to think scare of others, but I doubt it. Cats, along with slugs and snails are probably the largest gardening pests there is - but when I hear my two darlings purring away and cudding me I forgive them 'almost' anything

Im more of a dog lover myself (But had a cat a few years back now who thought he was a dog). He (an odd old thing) used the litter trays and on occasions i caught him sat on the toilet (Id not taught him lol so ive no idea why). He used to answer to his name and came inside when my older dog did . I have enough picking up after my dogs without cats adding to the mess .

I have one like that - Cass, she bounds around like she is a puppy, always comes to call - the other one, Cleo, totally ignores my calls - mind you, she thinks she is a Princess so why would she come to call
