Well it turned out to be a good idea leaving the tubers in the ground, The tubers I wanted, the last dug today trimmed up and set up on the bench. Some monster tubers dug up. There are many more to dig, these will be dug and discarded over the next few weeks.
So now the season has begun.

Oh yes Cat what did you receive then spill the beans Hi ian , a couple of names - Nenekazi, clear view Debby, Hapet daydream, still water brilliant and Wittemans. Che and I are very lucky to be sent stock by (yourself) and members on this forum. Our next fancy is to find dahlias to remind us of family, so relevantly name ones. This could be interesting

Hi, I've pulled them up on Facebook and there are 4 reviews all negative with people not receiving and very poor customer service. Not that this helps you but puts a little light on the company. Hope you get yours eventually

dcdahlia I have heard they are not great. I remember someone post last year that they had not received their plant order. Think it was Woodford dahlia if I remember correctly. They had a trade stand a wisley last year. Bits of this and bits of that did not inspire me. More gladioli specialists I believe.

They're shocking. I would advise everybody to give them a wide berth. I ordered 8 Wootton Impact last year and like you DC they never turned up. Numerous emails and phone calls, and two promises of refunds later, still nothing. Fortunately I'd paid through Paypal so I opened a claim with them and finally got my money back.
NEVER AGAIN!!!

You might well be pleasantly surprised at how well yours will do MarkE . Some ropey looking ones I had fired lovely and some great looking ones that looked fabulous on the surface big and solid where rooten in the middle last year. The tiny pot tubers threw an amazing amount of cuttings.

Cheers Raymond I hope that's the case! The poor tubers are my fault due to the lack of water at times.

Does anybody have a pic of the min dec 'Barbarry Fanfare'? Just compiling a picture folder of all the Dahlias I have and I cant find an image anywhere on the net! Nice to see some of you have already got started, I'm chomping at the bit but will hold off for a month longer. Those of you down south must have got a shock with the hard frost last night, hope your plants are ok. We escaped it in the NW with just a chilly wet night.
