Back from the County plant sale. Just me and me Dad this time. Both had dancing this morning but HH collected Pirate a bit earlier so that she could go for a sleepover. Drop off 2.30 collect at 8.30am - seems morally wrong on Sunday! Still I didn't let the side down, I won a box of shortbread biscuits on the raffle.

I have a major confession to make. With all the distractions and excitement with the seedlings my tubers have been very neglected. I haven't really been worrying about growing them for cuttings because (almost) all of super important tubers were given to my Dad for nurturing. I think that sometimes his dahlia shed and greenhouse comb are a bit like a tardis - you cram a lot more in than you think can but sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge to locate them. be possible. We had sort of decided that I would have plants rather than replant my 3/4 year old tubers and my Dad would use the original tubers. I was looking at my large Gurtla Twilight tuber and it fell into pieces. On inspection each had eyes that were growing / shooting. So instead of having 1 Gurtla Twilight to plant with many stems - I now have about 7 potential plants. eek
Seeing all the bonny green plants, feel a bit . More importantly I hope that my Weston Buccaneer and Weston Pirate wake up early enough to enter in the shows. If they don't lets hope that their seedling babies produce something stunning worth entering instead.
Now wouldn't that just be so cool!

Going to stop now and have an early night; my seedlings are keeping Pirate's toys company whilst she is at Sleepover camp (and they need a quick spray before I tuck them under their blankets) then it is bed for me. Got to be up and out ready to pick up Pirate at 8.30 tomorrow.Gone quick so far but it has been very quiet without her here. Night All

Miss our baby girl? Well I woke up 5ish 6ish 7ish... Went into Fairy to get her up and discovered that she was lying on her tummy on the floor. Blanket over her. (Resisted the temptation to take a photo of her - even though she looked unbelievably sweet). Looks like someone has been missing her Sister. Grumpy reply: "No!" Bless.

while my family are sleeping blissfully I keep waking up. Fairy has school exams this week. I am not worrying about her but I am wishing her well. HH is going through a lot at work at the moment. I hope that if is ok today. Me subconsciously worry about them? nah, just wish that they have a much better day than they think that they will. Well that's my story and I am going to quick with it.

Struggling to find places to put my seedlings. I am spending more time playing musical seedtrays at bedtime than I want to. Have some that still need pricking out but am trying to find similar trays to the ones I've been using. Cells not too tiny and fairly robust. Be glad when this bit is done but not as much as HH will be. I don't mean to be so annoying.

My Plants from the dahlia sale have been nibbled Oh Janey, what's wrong with a sandwich? Actually I have had to revert to slug bait in the g'house as my little cucumber seedlings have been deforested. Evicted some snails again yesterday for all the good it did. Hope they will survive to grow new leaves.
