Hi johnjess, you are right pot tubers take very little space. If I were to purchase the pot tubers I have grown this year it would cost over £200. So it is well worth the effort. If you do decide to grow some It is definitely worthwhile.
Regards, Diggie.

I know how you feel Cat. I've been going through all the online dahlia catalogue's, plus all the one's I've been sent. Not because I'm going to buy any, that's already been done. No, it's just to get a fix . Can't wait till the main Halls catalogue arrives through the letterbox, any day now I've started talking to the tubers in their peat beds, while doing work in the greenhouse, how daft is that......
Anyway, Happy Christmas everyone, and see you all in the new year.

I did just that this year johndoe. Switched on 1st January but decided that was too early. So for 2018 I will switch on early February with exception of the the difficult varieties that refuse to wake up, one being Oakwood Goldcrest. However having said that all my pot tubers are in a heated propagator on low heat at 5'C.
