I probably would be better with a recorder. I often tell myself the story as I go on my walk. I'll get lock up one day as the mad old man who walks around town talking to himself.

Just make it look like you're talking on a mobile phone & nobody will look twice!

Struggling with next chapter. Too much talking and not enough action, but cannot for the moment think of any actions that I could add. Update, Chapter completed and actions added.

Latest story is now finished. Needs editing, but that can wait until I have forgotten the story. It is much easier that way.

Yes, but that is just for typing errors and grammar etc. Editing in this case means making sure there are no holes in the plot, no glaring errors of misnaming characters, changing characters persona,
things like that, which are easy to do when writing the story in the first place as things develop. For example in this story the reason for one character being in the story is not addressed so the character does not need to exist at all.
it does now as I have changed the story to address that problem.

Yes, I think I understand what you mean now I hadn't thought of it in that way. When I began to write my story, at least 25 years ago I made sure to write down on cards (electronic) the names of the characters and where they lived and what they did & refer back to them.
But that was back in 1999!(using Windows 3.1) when we still lived in Spain. When we moved to the UK in 2001 we got a Windows XP &, unfortunately it could no longer read the card format! I had to try to remember who the characters were and what they did, etc.
I brought the whole OS Win 3.1 back to the UK in a box of 10 floppy discs!!! Imagine that! ๐๐๐

They were the days when a 3" floppy was welcome During some of the very wet weather I mentioned I was sewing. Thought I'd share completed projects and one that is still a work in progress. Play mat of Peppa Pig images [for sale at ยฃ20], this took about 12hours to do. My own design At one of my 'classes' we made storage 'pods'. Includes hand sewing as well as some machining. first photo of the sides and tabs, the second of the inside. These will be 'remade' for my craft stall. The random star quilt: another of my designs, so unique as I dont like following patterns as I often make blocks in a different sequence. This will be 80" square when complete and so far stands me at over 200 hours. It is an 18th birthday present for my friend's daughter. The star blocks are going to be hand quilted though I machine quilted the rest. I reckon about another 50 hours.

You are so gifted in making these quilts, seaburn! Is the circle stitching purely decorative or does it serve an essential purpose?

The circle gives the base some support as does the rectangle/square at the edge where the sides rise up. The stitching is also decorative which is why the thread is a contrasting colour. The thread are 2 shades of green to blend in with the oter fabric.

Found a whole series of stories which have the same main character. Needs putting together in book form with new images. Gives me something to do while it is raining.

Here's the painting I did in my art group yesterday. It's a bit blurred because my hands are not very steady holding the camera these days ...
