A big welcome from me, Tankus! Shame about the dog waste in your soil! IMO, once you have made a good compost heap and it is ready to use in about a year's time, you should take out the "bad" soil and start replacing it with "Safe" soil. On the other-hand, you could probably start that process, straight away, on a small scale, buying in soil and manure. Cheers!

Hi Tankus and welcome to the forum I do agree with whisker about your soil, what an awful thing to do to a garden! genarally top soil isn't wildly expensive to buy, or keep and eye on freecycle! we often get folks giving away top soil on our local groups

Welcome Tankus and Shelldon. I am sorry I was suspicious that you might be selling goods to us Shelldon. You are very welcome. You do look like a 'wild' man.
Tankus is there too much 'nasty' in the soil to bag it up and put it in the bin? Before you all shout at me, young mothers seem to do this with disgusting disposable nappies.

Cheers for the welcome...... I would probably need an 8 yard skip to strip the raised beds .....I've composted over the top and there are plenty of flowers and worms working at it . Its pretty enough .....
Quite happy growing out of pots , which I will stick to for my veggies next year . Need to plan better. Bit too haphazard last summer.

Hello to all gardeners, I am Reg and am just getting back to doing gardening after some health problems. A bit about my self, get ready to be bored. Retired for 4 years. 2 years have had spine op, then water works, and hopefully the last one a pace maker fitted. Just before the ops I was paralysed in my legs and left arm. Good news is I can walk my dog, drive my car, and can turn on and off the light switch with my left hand, can type still with one finger. I have a small garden with a greenhouse and large shed to play in. Gave up my allotment, my caravan and my beloved 4x4. I have a very loving wife, Pat, that has encouraged me through the last 2 years. I am looking forward to joining in with you all on the forum. I have worked for the last 21 years in a dusty old office that I shared with up to 30 lady's and 2 men, oh it was great. Will chat more soon. Reg

Welcome to the forums Reg. I think we can identify with the dusty office with loads of ladies and few men. We are just like that on here. Forum members have a few different ailments too and gardening helps to keep the body supple and overcome health problems.
