Oh Cherry - I hope you've got help this weekend - don't want to hear that you're laid up for weeks!

Thanks Grindle and Geranium. This time I am getting better looked after. Chiropractor for a start. Usually I end up an invalid for a week or two. We had fish and chips last night, so I did not need to cook for us. My daughter-in-law and I were as 'relaxed as newts' by the time the fish and chips arrived back. The magpies ate the chips which were left over. I am now finishing telephone duty in the office and next I will make the apple crumble.

It turned out brilliant, and my dickie knee has been properly fixed by the chiropractor. I am now in love with the chiropractor. My back is great and I think I will not be so mean and spend the money when my back is bad.

Louise, does your pretty avatar have a special significance. I just love the colours in that scene.

It doesn't Cherry, it was plucked from one of the avatar companies. I have several and use them to remind me of the dozens of places i've been in the world where this was the actual scene ! I miss that life Still, at least i've actually been and not dreaming of going.

I went to Kings Lynn on Monday to use my Christmas vouchers and one was £20 in WHSmith. I would have preferred Amazon, but never mind, I did get a book for which the waiting list is many weeks on the county library list and also a new crime novel which should help to put me to sleep.
However, I had a good look at Carol Klein's Grow Your Own Garden and ordered it from Amazon when I got home. This book is really good. She is certainly good at propagation, which is a favourite part of gardening for me. I really recommend this book.
I had M&S vouchers too, so I am back in fashion.

I got a (requested) copy for Christmas...it is on my bedside table for bedtime reading...... ;D

You will agree Lou, that we will probably read every word in short order. Mine is beside the bed to read in the morning. I love the smell of new books and new money.
