Three of my dahlias are exhibiting a disease that I cannot figure out which one it is. It goes like this: The stem becomes black, and after a while the stem wilts and becomes soft, leaves joints become black, and mushy.
Does anyone know? Thank you,

Hello carmenammarco, without seeing a picture of the plants. I wouldl say your plants are suffering from Sclerotinia Disease. I would dig them up and burn them, it is a airbourne disease. That is the only thing i know off that would effect dahlias like that. Maybe our other dahlia growers may have had the same problem.
Glad you joined the forum carmen, we need more dahlia growers to share their success and failures of dahlia growing, even the forum members who do not grow dahlias look in now and again. ;D
