OMG......thats drastic.......what do you have planned to replace it? Just a winding path finishing up in the right hand corner, at the moment. I will remove the lawn then maybe have a rethink. But whatever we decide we will have more planting space, i hope. ;D

There is a few adjustments to the winding path, a few compromises with the OH, so there will not be the planting space created that i thought they would be. ;D

We have removed the lawn and made a gravel path instead. [/quote] More plants to sort, that are waiting to be planted tomorrow. Then wash the dust off the gravel.

Getting rid of the lawn was exactly the right decision. What a transformation and it may have been hard work, but I am sure you enjoyed doing it. ;D

Thanks everyone for your nice comments, Brenda is happy with the result. Will look out for a garden arch to go where the path goes to the right. just at the back of the conifer is a small patch of gravel that you cannot see from the house, i have not decided what i could place there yet. I wonder what the reaction would be when the youngest of the grandchildren walked through the arch and came across this round the corner.
