well done Sue for getting some photos of the long tailed tits, they dive around so much, it's near impossible they are one of my favourite birds

We have very few birds feeding here, compared to where we lived before at the moment. We do not have any cover for them here there is no climbing plants on the fences like we had before for cover and there is not really any shrubs for them to fly to if danger threatens.

You have got the Prunus nigra (I hope that is what it is.) and the birds should love that. They are just sussing you out first Tel.

My Nuthatches do that too, after all these years it still has not dawned on them that there is a constant supply so there is no need to store food. ;D

Wish we had nuthatches here, they're beautiful aren't they. They are Sue They started using the feeders for the first time last year, before that I only saw them in the trees.

Lucky you Peony, the only birds that seem to visit here this year are mostly starlings

I envy WF and Peony too, the most unusual i've seen here was last winter when i saw a goldcrest, not seen it since either !

Nor here, i've read that they're supposed to be in areas with dense conifer coverage.
