This morning we have had a fairly big flock of long tail tits, goldfinches, spuggies, woodpeckers and a buzzard sitting on a tree!

With the weather the way it was today my little hanging bird feeder was blowing about so badly it rendered it useless so will have to find a way of securing it whilst still easy to remove for cleaning. perhaps Velcro patches but will have to wait until the weather dries up a bit.

Our feeder was like that sweetpea. I used a length of soft tie and its held great and easy to remove for cleaning.

Little pied wagtail in the garden this morning, never seen one actually in the garden here before, it was pottering around eating mealworms I'd put out & being watched by the squirrel who was tucking into birdfood & peanuts next to it. Not a very good photo, long shot through the patio doors.

I've never seen reed buntings in our garden grindle, I'd never seen them at all until last year when we spotted a flock of them up the moss here so they must be in our area. We had the flock of longtail tits back in the garden yesterday all tweeting away in the ivy tree near the arbour where I was fixing the baskets back up, they were just pottering about next to me.

I'd never seen them either SueA I had to look them up, thought at first it was sparrows, they are still here, and I'm loving seeing a new bird in the garden, not sure, but they will probably disappear once the weather warms up. My long tail tits are around too, love watching them

I agree, they're great pictures. Good job you waited SueA I do see them around but never in the garden, they sit on the wires and in the trees, but rarely come into the garden
