I have 3 dahlia tubers that haven't shown any signs of shooting is there some thing wrong with them , they seem firm in the pot which means they have made roots, why haven't they shooted ? all my others are doing great.

Do't worry Les....your tubers will shoot when they are ready...they don't all shoot at the same time. Those ones in your pic look lovely and healthy. This is the sixth time I've tried to post this reply...grrrr

This years cuttings all look good, so hopeful of some really good blooms.

Still dont have all my order of plants, Blyton softer gleam and Brenda T are to follow, but Robs chrysanths and Hillcrest Candy and Sir Alf are missing in action! have spoken with a nice man at Halls and he is going to sort them out this week. Think I am going to be a bit behind this ear for my mid August show

At the 900 cuttings mark, just want a few more hillcrest candy and ruskin myra and that will be this weekend.Dont know what I would have done if I hadnt got the new garden with its lean too greenhouse.I have been moving them up there to make room in my greenhouse at home.Come to a standstill up there with the weather and work commitments,I still have some more brambles to dig out and the fence to take down to make the two gardens in to one then it will be ready to rotavate and then start to think about getting a frame put up ready to plant out first week in june.Still not sure exactly what varieties and amounts I will grow but it will be about 400 in total. The only variety I have struggled with is minley carol just can't seem to get them to root was hoping for a dozen but at the moment only have 3.

I think i will be doing the give away too, taken the last lot down to the allotment this morning, could do with getting the early cuttings outside, because they are looking a little leggy now.
