Not sure about a answer on this one, for where you live, i am just wondering even though temperatures are higher over there, i wonder if your plants would still need hardening off before planting out.

We are talking about extremes in climate requirements. I could not imagine my daughters in North Queensland growing these, yet there were fields of them grown commercially in Victoria.

I've decided to leave the remaining cuttings on the roof deck since I don't want to lose anymore, at least the temps are much more stable (controlled) in there as it's my roofdeck greenhouse for my hydro veggies. I'm very excited as I've managed to find someone from ebay who was willing to go through all the trouble of posting dahlia tubers via FedEx. I picked a lot of purple/lilac ones because it's my favorite color. Must keep an eye out for the FedEx guy by next week

I said i was not going to buy any dahlias this season, but esthers Avon Snowflake is one i have not seen before, the trouble is i have now and i really like it. ;D
