This is beautiful as well as interesting. The old walls and statues are used to good effect, i.e. not overdone. ;D

One last batch.... One last couple of batches of pictures. I know what it's like looking through others peoples holiday pics Chinese Birch (Betula albosinensis), pretty sure its this anyway. Peek-a-boo! Still don't know which Ligularia this is. Love the bracts! One last Eryngium Inula magnificum? and that Ligularia again

I love the papery bark trees I have Acer Griseum The Asplenium trichomanes in the wall look good too

I love the 'en masse' planting - and the vistas. Long herbaceous borders are a delight, too. Do you know what the plant is after the photo of the shadow, please?

I love the 'en masse' planting - and the vistas. Long herbaceous borders are a delight, too. Do you know what the plant is after the photo of the shadow, please? Before the shadow? If its the one with the coppery coloured bracts around each flower head its Bupleurum longifolium. It's a close relative of Eryngium and Astrantia.
