Druridge Bay and Alnmouth Bay

Went for a couple of walks at Druridge Bay and Alnmouth Bay yesterday along the seashore and in and behind the dunes looking for interesting plants and animals.

Took a couple of pictures too...

Max zoom on my camera to look at the far northern end of Druridge Bay. Not bad quality considering I didn't use a tripod either!

Common Centaury, a pretty relative of Gentians. Pity the flowers were just not quite out



Loads of Sea Rocket growing on the upper beach too.

The harebells are known as 'bluebells' in Scotland. Your photos are really, really good. What a lovely walk you must have enjoyed.

Thanks Cherry, it was indeed a lovely walk. Yes, in Scotland they do indeed call them Bluebells, I was going to say happily I'm English (didn't mean it like that) so am happy to call them Harebells.

Lou lives just slightly inland between these two bays. Very pretty countryside too.
