The latest frustrating thing I have done is to put the photos on to Picasa so they can be edited. They have imported properly and all the right way up. Some were taken longwise, but look fine.
When these tall pictures are picked to go on to the forum using Tinypic, they turn themselves around and I just can't use them. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

How annoying! I'm finding Tinypic much easier to use now, since they stopped using symbols and now ask for 'real' words.
I take the photos straight from my own filed photos if that's any help.

Thankyou Geranium. Perhaps they should be imported into Windows, but I changed to Picasa to have an editing facility. They were alright then, but then I can't touch them. I used to be able to do this with Vista or whatever I had before. This is like a step back.

I have 'Photoshop' on my laptop for any editing, so Tinypic suits me.

Thankyou for trying to help Geranium. I am being quite difficult because I just don't understand it at all. Husband's first son is coming to stay in just over a week and he should know something about it as designing websites is his job. I haven't seen him for over two years.

I wish my son would come - he's also techy, and I'm sure he'd get my laptop sorted. It keeps freezing and refuses to do anything. So frustrating!

;D what would we do without them, I save all my problems for my son when he comes down Youngest son is always too busy catching up with his friends to do anything like teaching me how to use the computer. He is happy to build a new one or fix any problems. Perhaps it is because I am a bit thick. Stepson will have to be polite to me, so I may get some help from him.

I don't know if any of you can help me. Don't know if you have noticed but I have not put a picture on the forum for a while. This is because I have a new computer with a different system and I haven't found how to do it. The box that I used to click on to type in "Tinypic" isn't there any more. I sent an email to Steve but wasn't sure about it because his system is Windows 7 and mine is Windows 8.My son is coming at weekend and he is going to try and do it for me but if any of you can help it would be appreciated.
