Thanks dc. I remember 'George Marston' from our Welsh National Show in 2011 when Dave Gillam had an excellent vase of it in the three vase championship, wasn't sure then if it was a dec or ball but looks to be worth a try. I don't have any covers at all at the moment so that is something I will need to see to if I can this year. Halls seem a little pricey this year so I will ask for a list from Frank Taylor I think to compare. Although in previous years what you save on the price per plant has been eaten up by the high delivery charges. On the plus side I have noticed today that 'Ruskin Andrea' is starting to shoot as is 'Cherwell Skylark' - I was in a state of shock when I saw those as Cherwells are notoriously slow to start into growth. Frank Taylors list can be found here: www.dahliaworld.co.uk/taylor.htmI;m not sure if his landline number and address is correct as he moved house last October, but the mobile number is current. I'm pretty sure he has sold out of tubers so you will have to take pot luck with what plant stock he will have available ? Mark

Just tried to log on to Station House dahlia site to order a few dahlias from them, The site is not available. I have had no luck in logging on to Station House Dahlia's today at all. Their loss, Halls gain. Ordered a few pom plants,, 3 Gurtla Twilight, 2 Noreen, 2 Rhonda and 2 Willo's Violet, I have not got a clue how to grow them though. ;D I was going to order Leopold Sophie, but Halls do not have that one, So i ordered 4 Leopold Chloe and 2 Barbarry Melody. Like DC, I could have helped you out with Barbarry Melody, if Halls let you down I can send you up some plants in the post if you need them. I recall Station House regularly have trouble with their website. Mark

Sion at station house doesn't have barbarry melody in his list, but he has got some cracking tubers he is growing for the first time so will have a few going spare.
Other varieties not listed on his site that may be available are Dikara Moon, Ryecroft Zoe, Ryecroft Rebel, Ryecroft Magnum,Ruskin Bride, Susan Gilliott, Senzoe Ursula. I say maybe, the tubers of Dikara and Magnum weren't that good so maybe a struggle to get cuttings off. The rest were good solid tubers.

Hope someone can help. I took a photo of this gorgeous dahlia at the Harrogate Show, but was unable to find out the variety. It was part of a flower arrangement at the National Dahlia Society desk (they were really busy at the desk - and I couldn't find a label for it) Just wondering if anyone knows what it might be?

Looks like I have lost some of my tubers. Do any of you sell any tubers?

Received the NDS Winter Bulletin today.
snute, I have some tubers left in the ground but I don't know how they will have survived the wet winter. Any particular varieties you were after?
