Sorry Tel. I did read that, but did not take it in. All the best for Harrogate. I am not going Cherry, two reasons I did not receive my exhibitor number and you need that, Plus the blooms on Pudsey were not right this year. Do you have to pay in advance?

Actually Tel, you have had a very busy year and you may be able to concentrate on it for next year if you want to go.

That's even more annoying. I think I would be tempted to send it recorded delivery.

or something else? nb I tried to post a link to the definition of Moonlight flit from the Cambridge dictionaries on line but it just won't let me? Very strange

Well after not expecting much I had a really successful show yesterday. I won the championship class on the fist time of entering, it was for five vases and I have only ever entered a championship class with three vases before so I was really pleased and won the silver medal with it.Also my Sir Alf won the bronze medal too and to top it off I won best plate of fruit in show winning me a £20 voucher!
To say I was beaming was an understatement made cutting flowers in the torrential rain and dark worth it, I will try and get some photos up later

Otherwise it wouldn't be worth competing in.

Well at last I can relax after a busy few days.Started cutting for harrogate at 7.30 thurs morn and finished at 6.15.Managed to cut 21 tubs so it was just as well for me that my mates Phil Watson and Ian Kitching only had 4 tubs between them so I filled their vans up.Left for harrogate at 7.30 that night arriving about 9.00.With help from Phil and Ian I managed to enter 17 classes 3 of them championships finnishing staging at five in the morning.Got 5 first's 3 seconds and 1 third.I won the small dec championship with 5 leopold chloe,5 joan walker and 5 gateshead festival winnig a silver medal.I came second in the small ball, mini ball pom championship with 5 jomanda,5 marys jomanda and 6 minley carol winning a bronze medal and I entered the hotly contested mini dec championship with 5 george marston,5 ryecroft jan and 5 marston lilac but didnt manage anything in that class.I won the 3 vases of medium cac/medium semi cac with 1 vase of hillcrest candy and 2 of eastwood moonlight ans I won the 3 vases of 3 dahlias with joan walker, marys jomanda and hillcrest divine.I also won the 3 vases of one bloom with oakwood goldcrest, marys jomanda and marston lilac and the 2 vases of three blooms small dec/mini dec with ryecroft brenda t,leopold chloe, gateshead festival, ryecroft jan, dikara superb and marston lilac.I was second in the 1 vase of small semi cac with ruskin myra, third in the single bloom of mini dec with hillcrest divine and second in the single bloom small cac/semi cac with oakwood goldcrest.Me and 4 other growers from our society managed to put up an entry in the society class winning by one point using craigowen, bryn terfel, eastwood moonlight, marston lilac and marys jomanda. The vase of marys jomanda were mine and were runner up to best vase in show.I put up 3 vases of marys jomanda and each one was considered for a special award.I arrived home at 4.30 friday afternoon at which point I had had just 2 hours sleep since 7 the morning before.I was then up at 7 the next morning to cut for my local wmc club show where I entered eleven vases winning 6 firsts and 5 seconds and best bloom in show. The stand out thing for me over the last few days is the vase of 5 mary's jomanda in the society class getting runner up to best vase in show at harrogate. When I have had some rest I will put some photo's on of harrogate.
