Tel that is mixed, but there are winners in that lot and it must have been a super day. Wilsden seem to do it so well and the classes are large. Congratulations dcdahlia. You must be running out of dahlias!

Another member RichardR entered his first local show on Saturday. He did really well, he must have learned a thing or two on here. Three 1st and a second his three firsts were 5 x Kiwi Gloria, 3 x Citizen and 1 Bryn Terfel as biggest bloom! Well done Richard.

That sounds like fun and reminds me of a rellie who used to show dahlias and leeks in Durham at a pub show many years ago. He used to manage a Strike's nursery. It was like a strange country in those days.

Congratulations and well done Richard. Please don't keep a low profile as we want to share your good news. Well done Richard, totally agree with Cherry.
Which reminds me, I know that I put it in my Diary but I didn't mention it here I got a couple of 2nds at the weekend. Not bad considering the rubbish weather we've been having round here and I haven't got covers.

Definitely 'not bad' Moonlight. There is such a lot of work involved. You will possibly consider covers now that you know how successful you have been.
