I've put this in here as this section seems to be the most read, but if admin wish to link it somewhere else then fine. I have stumbled across this bit of photoediting software, totally free, that is as good as and better in some parts than GIMP that i have always used to edit my photos. Called Photoscape www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.phpWhat i found to be particularly good about is was the ability to merge several phots into one. When it comes to this years blooms and shows, it might make it a lot easier posting photos. As an example, I merged these four into one, 251 kb, 800x600 photo. Before I would have had to upload 4 separate pictures. ps, you can also add text, images, clip art really easy.

Turning dahlias into chrysanths............easy peasy ;D but can you turn base metals into gold? Just kidding scrumpy ;D ps I too have photoscape. I use it for putting colour on pics of the sun taken through a solar filter which gives a rather bland image.

I think I know what has happened. A lot of programmes nowadays have 2nd party software installed unless you tell it differently. In this case it looks like it's quickshare you have installed. To get rid of quick share you go to control panel, add remove programmes, look for quick share and remove it. Or you could do a system restore. Just choose a date before you installed photoscape and everything will go back to as it was. When installing, look at below. !st window agree 2nd window agree 3rd window tick the i do not agree box Then install You must have photoscape installed somewhere though. Go to control panel, add/remove programmes and look for it there. ps, screen capture came form photosacpe.

I don't seem to have 'Quickshare' - there are two programs installed on 27th Jan - 'Opimizer Pro v. 3' and 'PDF Creator'. Should I get rid of either or both of them?

I see what you have done. You've downloaded the wrong one. So get rid od those programmes. I've marked on the picture where to get the right download. I'd get rid of what you've installed by system restore as apart from installing the wrong product, you've probably installed something else that has affected your browser. You've not installed a virus or anything like that.

Thanks - I did the 'restore' and got rid of the unwanted programs, installed 'Photoscape' and dropped three photos onto the screen, saved them, but how do I get them out again?

on the combine screen, near the top, right hand side it says down, side, checker. That changes the display. Once you have the display you want, you can then check the edit button just above the boxes you've just found, that takes you to the editor screen, and then you can add text to the photos so you can name them individually. This is like being at school
