Tel. Can i ask a question on behalf of Janet, my neighbour. She grows bedding dahlia's but this season about half of the buds are going black and rotting before they open, do you know what would cause this? Thanks Chuck  |

Thanks Chuck Can you check she knows the difference between the dahlia flower bud, this will be roundish. Seed heads will go to a point and they do rot. I have never had dahlia flower buds rot, but seed heads yes, because they collect water. When I have any dahlia seed heads I have to squeeze them every couple of days to remove the moisture. |
