I am not surprised you slept for 12 hours DC. Made a point of looking for your exhibits Friday afternoon. You deserved your success mate you had some smashing dahlia's in the show. Did not mention your winners on here Sat, I knew you would let them know how you had gone on once you had the time and recovered. Congratulations.

I entered 7 out of the 9 classes this morning at Harden Beck, sorry to say its going to be a walk in the park at this show. the last time I turned up for this show there were 4 entries in the Championship when I left after staging there was only my entry in that class. I took a vase out of the Championship and swopped it for an inferior one because I had two entries in one class, so by swopping a vase give me another entry in another class. So I would think the Championship exhibit winner, would receive the silver medal its just a case of where the bronze will go, going to stick my neck out and say my vase of Blyton Royal Velvet Miniature Dec should win it, knowing me, I will be wrong again. Disappointed to say, no competition today. 7 entries, 7 firsts, silver and bronze plus 3 trophies.

I don't like waiting either but it's like surprises, good news is always best if you can wait for the person it matters to most, to be the one to tell it.

Well done dc, your blooms looked great, the competition was stiff, but yours deserved so many cards. I was stewarding the mini decs, so could see the standard was very high. Maybe you can now get to know your wife again .

I enjoyed my trip to Harrogate. My DH even came in the dahia section to see Tel's blooms......Hope you are impressed Tel !! We were very impressed with your entries and have some pics. Garden Friends really stood out among the other entries. Their petals were falling all over the place....naturally I suppose after nearly a week after cutting, and folk breathing all over them.....but GF was standing tall with all her petals intact. I had a long chat with David Hall (Halls of Heddon) and he liked her. He told me he sometimes comes on here to "do a bit of research". His display was superb as usual and got a Premier Gold Award......and runner up for Best in Show. Not bad eh!.....shout out if you want me to post some pics of his display.....bet you are all sick of looking at pics by now

I was told by a dahlia person, to ring David Hall. about giving it a trial. Will wait for the results from the dahlia trials first.

We would really like to see your photos when you have the time and inclination to put them up. Obviously, DH isn't Dear Heart. You clarified this later in the paragraph. I hope you had a lovely day Lou78W.

Has anybody grown Clearview Arlene, it's a medium semi cactus, pink with a yellow/cream centre. I've ordered it from Ridgeview nurseries along with Cream Capella. Hoping to get some advice

I've grown wandas capella in the past. I would guess the cream sport has the same form so should be a good one.
