The cost of shipping is getting ridiculous as you say Robh. We used to use Royal Mail but found that, for us, the packages were either "lost" or damaged in 25% of cases. As a small grower the cost and trouble of replacement became too much, despite getting compensation from them in every case. Mind you, this is only monetary and no compensation for losing the plants we have carefully nurtured. We now use a very reliable courier for next day delivery that specialises in fragile goods; comes at a price though. However, we do have peace of mind and know that our plants will be delivered the next day and in perfect condition.

I always opt to pay the extra for next day delivery as there is nothing worse that delicate plants stuck in a sorting office for a week during hot weather.
