Hi
I have a problem with a year old peony, the same thing happened to it last year when I planted it so im assuming its a pest of some sort.
I am unable to upload a photo to the site so........
would anyone be prepared to give me an email address that I could send to?
A bug or peony expert maybe!!
Many thanks in advance.
Jo

Hi Thanks for replying. Its quite hard to describe. All the leaves have small and large bits missing. these missing bits have dried out on the edges. Almost like someone has taken a pair of craft scissors and randomly snipped away! I could change my avatar photo to the pic I have taken. not sure If you will get a close enough look. Jo

Jo, I think what you have there is slug damage, probably caused by Keel slugs. Either scatter slug pellets or treat the plants with a liquid slug killer.

Welcome to the forum Jo. In the 'How to' section there are instructions for putting photos on this site. Try following Ladybird's instructions using Tinypic.

By jove I think she's got it. My poor peony. I bought some slug wool stuff at the weekend and surrounded the ground around the base of the plant as instructed. When I looked on Sunday morning there were slug trails all around the outside of the wool stuff but none actually in the middle so it might be working. I will let you know how it goes. thanks everyone again for your help.

Congrats in getting the picture on Absolutely. I was close to tears every time I tried. Such a shame that the first picture shows pest damage. Now you can show us what else you have joveaves.
