"Was" trying De la Haye and Ms Kennedy this year. De la Haye is a superb bloom, especially when you see it grown by a certain top grower not far from me . Also Marston Suzanne, but the tubers were stubborn to root and produced very few cuttings. Thankfully acquired another tuber from G/Mare talk, and made the numbers up with this.

New ones for me this year are as follows:
Tahoma Lael - Miniature/Small Ball - Yellow Snoho Doris - Small Ball - Orange Clearview Daniel - Miniature Ball - Yellow.
Clearview Louise - Med / Large semi cactus - Grown as large. Makes a better large due to the petals are too big for a medium. Barbarry Kestrol - Miniature Dec - Dark Burgandy. Marston Margaret - Miniature Ball - Pink (Not released 3rd year seedling) Marston Karen - Miniature Dec - Orange (Not released 6th year seedling) Marston (No Name) - Miniature Dec - Apricot (Not released 3rd year seedling)
Ryecroft Helen - Med / Large Semi Cactus - Yellow -(Not released) Rossendale Molley - Miniature Dec - White. Geerlings 3rd year seedling - Medium Semi Cactus - Red - ( Not released) No Name - Small Cactus - White - (3rd Year Seedling) Not released Wyn's Favourate - Small Dec - Red (3rd Year Seedling) Not Released.
As always the Marston trial plants are top notch from my old mate Johnny Digweed.

Moonlight, unfortunately I didn`t get that far. I got some new plants to their second flowering year, then started working in a garden centre doing 60 to 70 hours a week. Gave all the plants to my sister. However, I have started growing Dahlias again this year, so may start breeding them again. I do understand that when circumstances lead to something having to give, it is a shame though to loose a dahlia that you believe in, especially when it is down to circumstances beyond your control. Well I hope you get a cracker when you start trying again.

That may be a bit of a blow for me then. I've just about got 6 laterals growing that are all going to flower on the main bud. Looking at the plant and the thickness of it's laterals I had a feeling it may be quite big, but I don't think I'll be able to show it if I choose a wing bud as they won't be ready for my shows. Just have to let it do it's thing then I reckon. Maybe though, it'll produce a more refined 2nd flush.

Mediums do need to be pretty refined where as a large you get away with a bit more.
