It is a 2001 Gitts origination from over here in the US... Never heard it called it Royal Bumble before. Love this one. About 3.5 feet and plenty of stem on a single disbud.
I've grown it a couple seasons, but lost the tubers both times to slow rot. That was before I learned the wisdom of having a backup pot root. Last season I reordered but was sent a mess of a collarette that only shared the colors but not form.

Welcome to the forum cici. Swan Island, certainly have an amazing choice, that's for sure. My avatar is one of theirs, Zoey Rey, no good for showing, but a beautiful garden flower

Thanks for the welcome, folks, though I hesitate to post on your main thread since I am virtually puddle-jumping to be here... I know this is a localized UK forum, but am interested in the cultivation and show differences.
Swan Island definitely has the overwhelming market share for new or casual growers, as their varieties are primarily for cut and garden, and not too worried about the show crowd. Bumble Rumble does okay over here in the shows, but has been vastly overshadowed by NTAC Eileen and Bloomquist Sweet in the last couPle years.

Really like the look of NTAC Eileen and Bloomquist sweet!... In fact all the NTAC collerettes look fabulous! Bloomquist Sweet is supposed to have a fragrance outside of the normal pollen smell. It has very pleasing colorations for a collarette, and I hope to have an opportunity to grow it some season soon. In fact, I bet it would pair very well with Bumble Rumble in the garden, if a plant of each were left alone to bloom in its glory.
