Got about 30 more cuttings to take. I stop taking cuttings after the 14 th April, as that is about the cut off point for getting blooms ready for early august when i need them.

Hohum...my two cuttings gave up the ghost after getting too warm in the GH whilst I was at work... I had the window and door open and some shading...

The tahoma star has another shoot on it, and the bishop of oxford has produced it's foist shoot. I'm going to let them get quite large and see how many form before I chop any more off.

The last cutting you sent me Tel has produced roots and it is all potted up with the others. It must have been well on its way because my others still haven't rooted yet.

Should I be feeding the cuttings you sent me? They are all growing well and looking healthy.

Just keep a eye on them, when the roots have filled the pots, pot them on into bigger pots. They should be ok then until planting out time, have you applied a general fertilizer to the area where they are to be planted? if so they will be ok until they start forming their buds, then you could feed them every 7-10 days with a high potash feed. Ps, have you started to harden the dahlias off yet?

have you started to harden the dahlias off yet? No, I'll start doing that today. The bed has got loads of manure dug into it, should I add some fertilizer too?

My first cutting has eventually rooted. Now I don't mind if the rest fail, I needed one more 'Sunshine' to fill the bed.
