Hi everyone yes it is nearly time for the Northern AGM of the National Dahlia society to be held at Crookland's off junction 36 on the M6 heading North. It is on Saturday the 28 th March. Come and join us, there will be two lectures by Mr GH MacFarlane growing and timing of exhibition Dahlias. John Bottomley on Waterlily and Collerettes also there will be a panel based on the TV show room 101. There will be a couple of Dahlia people selling plants. Frank Taylor, Station house Nursery and Jack Gott will be in attendance. The conference starts at 11am. There will be a stand were memberships can be paid labels, judging rings, DVDs, Label Pens purchases. Should be a good day come on and join in, you know you want too. Come and put faces to names.

Yes Moonlight the day was great, it is the best AGM I have been involved in, it was excellent with well over 100 in attendance very informative and lots of laughter the two lectures were excellent John Bottomley spoke on Waterlilies and Collerettes the way he grows and shows and Graham MacFarlane talked about his growing techniques and timing of blooms. The room 101 panel was very well recieved with a light hearted sometimes tongue in cheek approach to some points of our world of Dahlias. With Duel classification, exhibitors who do not tidy up after themselves and take up all the staging tables, The ideals for Waterlilies and the rule of disqualification for embryonic buds all being put into room 101as I said a good time had by all. It was certainly a AGM to set the standards and one which we will struggle to better. The only dampener was the inclement weather it rained heavy all day. So plant sale could have been better. :-)
