Weather forecast not good, so I cut enough dahlias, for 4 vases for the Wrose show on Saturday today, they will either last until Saturday or they will be past it. They are not brilliant, but you can only take what you have.

scrumpy I hope that you did well in the show. Sorry that I didn't get a chance to wish you Good Luck post before the show but I have been thinking of you and hope you did well. I will be able to provide a great display for the NDS stand. I will be putting in half the entries I normally do.   The Zoes, and miniature decs shown, along with 3 brenda t were all he took. Look nice in baskets. As to the rest, 10 firsts, 2 2nds and 1 third. A little bit of competition from Ians friend Barry Smith. Ian helped arrange Barry's blooms, but I don't know who did the Miniature Ball, Barbarry Vulcan?, but whoever did miseed the earwig that was munching away. I left it in when I saw it as it was a better vase than my Mary's and I was hoping there would be nothing left by morning  Not to be. |

Well done Scrumpy you looked to have some good gear the small decs and Zoe sport were excellent well done. See you at Southport and good luck

Love that display scrumpy, Well done on all your wins too. Still say Brenda T, is a September dahlia, just my opinion for what its worth.  |

I just gave the blooms for the display. The NDS arranged them.
Probably right about Brenda, we'll see what the 2nd flush looks like.

Four entries i put on the bench. 3rd for Mary's Jomanda, 3rd for Karen Glenn' 1st for Eastwood Moonlight and 1st for Wyn plus bronze medal. |
