Great photo Ste, I can take the neck brace off now. Just imagine if you had 3 or 5 blooms like that, placed them in a show when the judge walked down to have a look at your vase Would it win or would it be thrown out, Tel ?

p.s. My book arrived and it is very good. Even mentions the difference between a ball dahlia and a dec... Anyway, moving on...
Daughter no. 1 can't get her head around the concept that you can have a 'bronze' coloured dahlia. Did you get the Ted Collins' Book, Moonlight ?

Hahaha I don't know ray , would be a good laugh taking to a show just have to get the paint brush out and do four more , see if I could trick some of these flower judges? Saw Ivor "Sean's "dad station h nurseries , spray a Pom black at a show , what a laugh that afternoon we all had.

It would not get thrown out, if it was entered in the Small Decorative class and they fit through the judges ring, it would be ok. To win who knows, first class form, If the blooms are all equal in the colour split then yes it could win, big doubt on 3 blooms or 5 blooms been identical on colour. Would be a first though.
