Lovely pics CPB some day I`ll grow a cleome like that, a beautiful flower ,I`ve seed sowed again this year, ever hopeful. Where are you gardening from? and whats your soil like ? It's strange how some years are better than others for plants and seeds isn't it. I remember one year was supposed to be 'A bad year for peas' my BiL (a farmer) knew several growers who had terrible pea crops that year. We live in Leicestershire, a few miles from the city centre so we're quite sheltered. We've been here since 1984, and the garden was just grass until the late nineties. The soil was originally quite claggy altho it's pretty good now, not too many stones, neutral pH and improved year on year with garden compost and the odd bag of well rotted farmyard manure.

Just? ??.....you have a lovely garden, and I love your colour combinations ;D Thanks Lou...that means a lot. We only have a very small space, and as I haven't been gardening for that long (compared to many) it's still a case of trial and error. When planning and executing a flower border it's an intensely personal thing isn't it ? AND...of course I only show you the good bits....

Too true, Lou - like me and the dreaded Hedychium! Why on earth did I buy it?

your plants are lovely cheery, do you find the Lysimachia Beaujolis comes back each year? I've tried a couple of times and it's disappeared after the winter

I managed to keep mine for a couple of years, but last year there was no sign. A short lived perennial....

Hohum...spent a pleasant couple of hours pottering in the garden. There are lots of mystery perennials popping up and I can't for the life of me remember what most of them are. I can recognise the agastache cos the new foliage starts off a lovely purply colour....but most of the rest are anybody's guess...
