Thank You Sue and Roofy. Feeling a lot more me like today. Very sore tongue and badly bruised arm but at least my brain is awake.

Last night HH mentioned to me that he thought that there was going to be a frost and maybe snow. The tubers that I am keeping are in the greenhouse but they didn't have any frost protection, let alone snowy warm clothes. HH wouldn't let me go outside and cover them, I gave in after he mentioned what if I had fallen through the glass window pains. He told me that he would sort it for me.
Look what he did for me:
He tuck them all up in a nice warm duvet. I am a lucky woman, he looks are my Dahlia and cares for me when I am poorly and low.
Thank You

He wishes he could say the same of me. No, seriously, he has a very big heart. I am very lucky.

I really ought to finish off my plan 2016.Are these variants that you have planted, or is this a list of what you intend to plant ? The DO look very colourful. These are the ball and pom dahlias that I grew in 2015 not including Downham Royal.

Started getting brown algae on the window and brown stains / food debris on the gravel. Plan on getting a couple of buckets. 1 for getting the water ready and 1 to siphon it out.

Maybe they need a bit less food Moonlight but you do get algae forming & have to part change the water every so often anyway. I used to just get a small sponge sometimes, put my hand in the water, push the sponge up against the inside of the glass & pull it up to remove the algae & rinse it out & repeat, saves having to empty out the water.

I used to do that as well SueA. It takes a while to get used to how much food to give them. We used to feed just a couple of times a week and as there are only 2 fish( ?) once a week should be more than enough....

A thought occured to me.
They wheren't YOUR duvets where they ? (e.g. the actual ones on your bed ? )

Hi Moonlight I have been meaning to say where is the bubble wrap insulation on your greenhouse, I thought you would have that in place.
My tubers are all set up with frost free setting on the heater and as usual my fleece tent. If I were you I would leave the duvets on the tubers or if you need them for the bed hehe then a fleece covering is good for a few degrees.
I have left space on my bench if and when I receive testers from friends.
Good luck for the season Moonlight
