Sounds like an interesting idea ! I guess it would depend on how many members get involved in home brewing and winemaking ? It's not something I do myself, but I gather that it is a very popular pastime ?
On a similar topic; would it be worth having a section dedicated to videos, or would it be better to house them in the individual topic areas as and when they arise ?

I don't see why we can't have a specific homebrew' section on here especially if it involves using fruit & veg. like rhubarb vodka, pumpkin beer & sloe gin but not sure how many members would be interested, it's not something I would do myself & we do have a few complete 'non-drinkers' on the forum. On the subject of videos I think the videos are best posted on the individual subjects & kept fairly short if possible but someone else may disagree.

I've never tried winemaking or brewing... but I think I WOULD be interested in reading a section about it ?

Thanks for that steve, If it becomes popular, perhaps we could consider a unique forum for it ? My parents used to make wine. In my tender sub-teenager years, I fell asleep to the sound of "bloop... blub... bloop" from the demijohns with the airlocks in the closet !

Yes Roofy the airlocks could make quite a bit of noise and a fair bit of froth in the first few days but someone said every bubble represented sugar turning in to alcohol so that made it a bit more bearable
