I'm not very big on houseplants @willow as I always manage to either forget to water them or over-water them, I have got a few still going strong at the moment though including a lovely big palm of some sort which I got for 50p from B&Q a few years ago. I think Bess on here has orchids, her O.H. loves them if I remember right, orchids are lovely but I don't generally keep them myself, I have one which was given to me for my birthday & it's still alive.

I love orchids because they have a very long flowering period.
