Thanks ladybird , I just had another look & they have got a green one back in stock now but it's dark green not the lime green one although you can buy a separate lime coloured liner for £9.99. The black one was out of stock too when I looked but they must have got it back in very quickly, it is good value so I may still be tempted.  |

Postage is deep at £6.90 though Sue. I was buying lots of seeds and garlic so got the discount. It would make a nice Christmas presy for someone .

The trug arrived .It nearly drove me nuts putting this thing together and two of the screws wont go in a all, who designed this ? Anyway it look good , sturdy and worth the good selection of veg seed ( £28 worth )

They got the lime green one back in stock ladybird & I ordered some bulbs & the pansy & iris special offers as well. The trug arrived yesterday & I see what you mean about putting it together - a 20 page instruction leaflet! I haven't built it yet though as when I checked there was a piece missing so have had to phone & ask them to send the part, perhaps that's why they're reduced, the free veg. seeds are good though aren't they. |

My friend bought two @sue, great selection of seeds but she never managed to put one trug up as the built in nut disappeared from one of the pole ends . I put up the 2nd one for her but, just like mine, we were unable to fix the screws at one base end , it just would not meet. Several screws were ruined during the process so we used ones from the first pack. she is sending one back hopefully. I sent T&M an email this morning complaining about it with pictures and I have just seen reviews today on amazon complaining of the same problems. I plan to tie the ends of my base bit with cord . here`s a pic of the problem.  |

I tend to stay well away from T & M
The last time I ordered from them I had to wait for new stock to arrive although it eventually did. Why oh why do they advertise stuff that they can't fulfil orders on?
Anyway I have long thought even back to the days when they had a respectable catalogue out that they are too gimmicky oriented by far.
If you need to save money on horticultural stuff, shop around. Simples.

With mine ladybird I managed to fix the base to the four corners but the 2 ends in the middle didn't line up with the screw holes in the side legs at all so I've just left them out. It really is bad of T&M to send these out when they must know they don't fit together properly. I will email them too but I can't be bothered to send mine back. |

I had a look at mine again ladybird & found that if I turned the base upside down so that the main bars were at the top & the mesh at the bottom that the four corners fitted & I could get 2 of the four screws in the middle bars & it looked more solid. I've emailed T&M about it with a photo & told them I'm not sending it back as after all that struggling to put it together I'm not taking it apart again! Here's a pick of where mine doesn't meet & where I've planted it up with strawberries.   |

I got an email back from them ladybird saying they were sorry I'd had problems & it wasn't up to their usual standards & they would pass the info. on & as I'd said I didn't think the material would last very long they asked me to let them know & they would replace it if it failed. I do think they were reduced & sent with all the 'free' veg. seeds probably because previous buyers had complained & they knew about the problems with constructing it. |
