has anyone tried these 'Bird Shelters' from Coopers of Stortford's catalogue? If so what to you make of them? I like to get some opinions before ordering things like this which often tend to be just gimmicky rather than practical. Click on image to enlarge.

I got some similar ones, slightly different shape, years ago sweetpea & have them dotted about the garden, the only one which I've seen being used is the one hung in the clematis on the patio which the wrens build a nest in every year but then don't actually use. I think the one pushed into the tangle of dead & alive ivy at the end of the garden may get used by the robin sometimes as shelter as well but not sure. They're decorative but seem to have lasted quite well & may get used. Here's the wren in one of ours.
