Not so much pond but in both the bird baths in different parts of the garden I noticed a little water beetle scooting around under the surface in both baths.
I can only assume they got there by flying in so I suppose if I tipped the water out to change it they won't come to any harm.
Busy little creatures so they are.

I'll get around to it eventually

Funnily enough sweetpea, I put down a VERY large plantpot saucer filled with water a few days ago, just to see what would happen.

Yesterday, I saw my tame blackbird having a bath in it ! Result !
