RHS Bridgewater 'Glow'

We went to RHS Bridgewater last night to see their festive 'Glow' event where all the trees along a trail around the gardens were lit up. Very pretty, they had a few mobile hot chocolate & hot dog vans as well as the usual cafe but we didn't have anything as we went after tea (I'd made an apple & raspberry crumble from some of our Jonagold apples!) but I did end up buying some plant labels & a half price pack of dwarf iris 'Natascha' in the shop there! Luckily it was a cold but pleasant night & didn't start raining until we were in the car going home. There were swans on the lake by the cafe looking rather ghostly in the gloom, a pair with their cygnets!

What a show, it must have been lovely. Your photos reminded me of when I was little and the rocks along the coast in the Mumbles were all lit up in different colours.

Lovely SueA I went to the Rosemoor glow a couple of years ago, they do an amazing job putting all the lights around, some beautiful ones there

It doesn't show up very well on my pics. but they'd highlighted some lovely trees & it brought out the textures & shapes in the bark beautifully & the bonsai size trees in the Chinese garden looked really good.

I went with a friend on Friday, 17 December.   A lovely still, moonlit night so enjoyed a pleasant stroll.  The BBC were there filming so I expect it will be a Gardeners World Winter Special and may even be on over Christmas.  These are some of the photos I took.

It did look good didn't it libralady, you had a bonus with that moon on your photos! A friend of mine went last week & there was a small brass band playing as well, not there when we went but it was still nice to walk around.
