The cherry red Amaryllis are probably the same as yours, Eli

The two Amaryllis in the bedroom have now finished flowering. But the good news is that there are another couple of buds from two other bulbs are starting to make some progress! Perhaps they will flower in July!

I have an old Amaryllis that hasn't flowered for several years, just leaves, and this year it has produced a bud. It will be open in a few days I think

That's good to hear, Eli! Looking forward to seeing a couple of pictures when it flowers! It seems I was too enthusiastic about having a couple of more buds on my Amaryllis in the bedroom window - there are no buds after all!

Yes it has and I've taken photos but now I can't find my camera lol I don't know where I've put it so I can't upload the photos to my computer ... I will look for it again tomorrow but the place is in a mess from on-going building work to the kitchen and the camera is not the only thing I can't find

Eli They are beautiful! Thanks for putting them on the board! Just be sure to keep them well watered & fed with a tomato or rose fertilizer for the summer. Make sure they don't sit in a saucer of water for more than a few hours. They have thick fleshy roots which rot easily if left in water too long. Like many plants they resist dryness better than being water logged.
