I want to plant up some pots for autumn and winter interest and I've got a Gaultheria to plant in one of them, which requires ericaceous compost .
Will the ericaceous compost be all right for other things in the pot, such as Cineraria, Cyclamen coum, Narcissus bulbs, Ajuga etc ...
or should I not plant the Gaultheria with these other things ?

just looked up Cineraria and the RHS says all types, the rest should be fine, I'm on acidic soil and have no problem growing them

Eli I don't think you should have any problems with your plants all in the same compost. It seems that plants that come from an acidic background have a much harder time trying to grow in an alkaline compost than the opposite. I found it interesting how a Geranium cutting (I put it in ericaceous compost only for a while till I could put it in normal compost but later forgot about) grew into a proper size Geranium for 2 years until it was killed one frosty night. The Geranium was in a pot with a Skimmia in it. A couple of self-sown Petunia seedling have grown in the same pot this year! I didn't notice them until a couple of weeks ago when I had to move the pots around on the balcony by playing "musical pots"& now they have buds!

Here's a picture I took in 2019 showing the Geranium sharing the Skimmia's pot & with flower buds!
And here is a photo I took this morning showing a self-seeded Petunia flowering in the Skimmia pot!
It's as happy as can be!
