Hello everyone, I’m new to the group. I’m a passionate vegetable gardener and recently got an allotment (only took 5 years on the list). I’m really looking forward to expanding my knowledge. I’ve grown veg for a long time and when COVID came I started to have an interest in flowers especially dahlia’s. Look forward to chatting to people

Welcome to the site Gemma. I gave up my allotment a couple of weeks ago after many years. Always grow flowers on the plot they attract the very important bees and wasps.

Hello daitheplant. Yes I’ve really enjoyed seeing more beneficial insects come to the garden. Years gone bye I only did standard companion plants like marigold,Calendula and nasturtiums around the veg beds. Now that I’ve adds flowers around the garden perimeter it has really boosted there numbers (and looks lovely).
