I love unwinding at bedtime with a good book. At the moment I am reading a book about anti-gravity. I find i can't put it down!
Heard it on tv tonight but it tickled my funny bone.

We have a good charity book shop locally which sells books only. I had to look for some books recently and explained that I have read different books in whole series, not because I am a clever reader, but because I am old. It took two assistants to find something different and they had to resort to their garage which is also packed full.
Books I have kept are ‘The Blackhouse’ trilogy by Peter May, ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’ by Khaled Hosseini and ‘The Girl from Munich’ followed by ‘Suitcase of Dreams’ by Tania Blanchard. Now I have reached the age where my books are lighter and If I don’t like them when I have given them a good few chapters, they are put out. My remaining years are in short supply so I really want to enjoy my books.

My reading material has not got that light steve. However, I can fall asleep after one page. I hoped i might get some books recommended. We used to have a thread for this subject.

That was very funny Steve. Yes, you have taken Sweetpea’s place, but at least I am not frightened to open the post with your name on it. He was a character who demands to be remembered kindly, as he is.

I read Sci-fi books on my kindle for between 30 to 45 minutes most nights. Though some nights it slips out of my fingers & falls on the floor! 😂 As our bed is very low nothing happens to it!
