I now have no greenhouse and have bought young plants from the garden centre. Is it too soon to plant out beans, tomatoes and zucchini?

depends on what the beans are. I have broad and runners out but they were hardened off first.
I wouldn't risk the toms yet. and it depends where you are in the UK re the courgettes. They will need hardening off any way for at least a week or 2. So outside in the day and back at night.
an alternative would be to fleece them over at night and hope there are no hard frosts.

Thank you seaburn. I will curb my inpatience and do as you suggest until they plants are well hardened off. Of course, the kale and lettuce are sitting outside waiting to be planted.

I haven't planted anything tender out yet Cherry, I have plants in the kitchen & in the cold greenhouse but agree with seaburn & wouldn't put tender veg etc out without hardening them off even where you are. You probably have shelter in your garden so I'd maybe put things out during the day & bring them into the kitchen at night for a week or so.

Thank you everyone. I am leaving the plants out later every day.
