When we lived at May and after the garage collapsed, i got a new lean to greenhouse from the insureres which would fit in perfectly at May, BUT over here i don't have a spare wall/fence to put it up against.
I guess we could build a wall (Sue, fancy a scottish holiday ;D) or a fence but i am not sure what to do for the best.

Why can't you have a whole 'stand-alone' one, Rosie? Did you bring the 'lean-to' with you?

Can't you put it alongside the garage Rosie. Is there a garden shed you could use, or are you getting one?

I'd love to visit you, I can build walls You could block the back with polycarbonate sheets, will it stand on its own?

I have the lean to with me, i would have preferred a stand alone one but that wouldn't have worked at the other house. Graham just got planning permission yesterday for the garage but it's profile steel and it would be awkward to fill in all the holes. There is a shed but it's only 10ft long. I am not sure if it will stand on it's own Sue, I have my doubts it would. We thought of buying another one and sticking them together but it was £600+ and i really don't want to spend that much money. I wish i could make decisions...

I've put a polycarbonate back on mine and it seems to work ok, it is backing onto the side of a shed but with a gap in between

I am not sure if it will stand on it's own Sue, I have my doubts it would. How about sinking two strong posts into the ground to 'lean' the greenhouse on. It would also be easy to attach a frame to these to hold the polycarb sheets.
